Hi Dancers,
Thought I'd add a reminder about the fundraiser tonight at Tio's. This is the project lovingly created by Johnny G. D'Artenay and a host of other talented musicians.
Call the club for futher details....I think it's $10 to get in, and the first band is Big Rig Deluxe, followed by a bunch of other cool bands.

It is with a heavy heart that we inform you that Willie Desatoff passed away on Saturday, October 1st at the age of 82.
He inspired us greatly as well as thousands the world over.
We were very glad we had the chance to bring him to San Diego so that many of you could meet him and share in his joy of the Balboa.
His legend lives on in all of us continuing to teach and dance the Balboa with "finesse, finesse, finesse"

"Jazz is the teacher, Funk is the preacher." -- James "Blood" Ulmer (left)
Melissa and I are excited to bring to you our first-ever SWING-TO-FUNK-MUSIC workshop this Sun. Oct. 2nd at the Kava Lounge. Why swing dance to funk music? 1) How funk music is structured similarly (polyrhythmic...
