Hey Firehouse Dancers, come and strut your stuff at our 1st ever Firehouse Pro-Am Jack and Jill contest. Each contestant will be randomly paired up with one of our current Firehouse instructors. Sign-ups will be limited to 6 contestants, so signup early to participate. Signups will close at 9p, contest takes place at 10p. See you at our FINAL Firehouse Swing Dance of 2009!
ENTRY REQUIREMENT: You must have taken at least 1 class/workshop at the Firehouse in the past year.
Doors open at 8p this week as there are no lessons this week from 7-8p. Our new January classes resume on Wed. Jan. 6th.

With a recent surge in interest for MORE VARIETY in classes, we're excited to offer 3 DIFFERENT CLASSES on our January Firehouse Swing Class Schedule starting on Wed. Jan. 6th, 2010. We've got our regular Lindy 1 & 2 Classes from 7-8p, and now we've added a new All-Levels Speciality Class from 8-9p -- Balboa Basics and Beyond.
FIREHOUSE CLASS SCHEDULE -- JANUARY 2010: Wed. Jan. 6, 13, 20, 27
7-8p (main room): Lindy 1 -- Swingout with 6-count Lindy Basics
7-8p (back room): Lindy 2 -- Lindy Styling and Footwork Variations
8-9p (back room): All-Levels Speciality Class -- Balboa Basics & Beyond
Single Class Drop-in: $15/single class

Sorry dancers, there's NO Firehouse Swing Dance tonight (12/23). Please come back next week (12/30) for our Firehouse End-of-Year Dance with Special Guest DJ Morgan Day from L.A. plus our 1st EVER Pro/Am Jack & Jill Dance Contest. Each contestant will be paired off randomly with a Firehouse dance instructor. Sign-ups take place from 8-9p and will be limited to those who have taken at least 1 class or workshop at the Firehouse in the past year.

My name is Billie Armstrong.
San Diego, is my home town,I was born here in 1925 and her untill I joined the Navy in 1942. I have vivid memories of that July weekend as I was a whitness to the first and only apperence by Glenn Miller at Pacific Square as a 16 year old teen. A time that is still a wonderful exciting night I will always remember as the light suddenly burst forth and his introduction music began, I still have chills remembering a most exciting time in a young boys life!
